How Inspiring!

Well, fellow FoF junkies, I am still on the high from the last meeting….or maybe it is just a mixture of the four shots of espresso and the delicious brownies Teresa made *wink*.  In any case, we were all very blessed to learn about how God has worked through the ministry of Jan Grzeszkowiak and his family in Africa.  As an optometrist, Dr. Jan Grzeszkowiak knew that he could use his training to serve the Lord and not only give people their physical sight by offering a free eye clinic, but also restore spiritual sight through bringing them the Good News of Jesus Christ.  He and his family are an inspiration to all of us as believers; they acted on the promise in Ephesians that God has equipped us with everything that is necessary to answer the call He has placed on our lives—the call to serve God by serving others and spreading the hope we have in Christ.  For him and his family, this meant going to Africa and providing eye exams and eye surgeries and telling them about Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who wants to heal more than just their bodies, but their spirits as well.  After watching an impacting video about their time of ministry, we were able to ask father and son, Eryk, some questions about their experiences and pray over them and their future missions to Africa.  It was a truly blessed time, but if you missed out, don’t be discouraged—rumor has it….. we might hear from him again in the fall!

  1. Man! Right after you left, Amanda, I was craving brownies!!! :)
It was a great evening. The worship reminded us of the greatness of our God and then Dr. Jan inspired us by showing God at work through sharing stories of lives changed not only physically, but also spiritually. I "write again," great evening!
